Weekly Spelling

Dear Parents,

Today we continued our weekly routine of learning new spelling words on Friday, in preparation for our weekly spelling activity the following Wednesday.  

Every week, the students will be writing their weekly spelling words in their notebooks on Friday. Every Wednesday, we will be having a spelling quiz in the form of a BINGO game.  Please help review the spelling words with your child over shabbat and throughout the week leading up to Wednesday.

Some ways that you can review the weekly spelling words include:

• Write each word 3 times
• Make a memory matching game with the words
• Make flashcards
• Spelling Tic-tac-toe
• Pay specific attention to the tricky letters like ones that sound the same (i.e chet and chaf, sin and samech, aleph and ayin, etc.)

This week's words are:

1.מבקש-ask for boy

2.מבקשת-ask for girl

3.תפילה-prayer

4.שלום-peace 

5.סליחה-sorry

6.בקשה-request

7.תודה-thank you

8.ירושלים-jerusalem

9.כותל המערבי-the kotel 

10.ישראל-israel
