Second Grade had a blast today with our solar cooker engineering challenge! The students worked in pairs to design, build, test, and improve their own solar cooker. We also enjoyed learning about the sun and solar energy through a read aloud, pictures of different solar powered inventions, and even an episode of Curious George and Cyber Chase! We culminated this exciting day by making s'mores in our solar cookers, yum!
