Second Grade Zoo Curators

As part of our animal unit, the students are working on designing a zoo exhibit for the animal they are studying. The students discussed different features of their animal's habitat such as food, water, and shelter, as well as factors that need to be taken into account at the zoo like temperature and size of the exhibit. Using different size paper, crayons, and labels, the students designed, colored, and labeled their zoo exhibits. We are so excited to visit the Turtle Back Zoo in May and compare our designs to the actual zoo exhibits!
