Hebrew: משלוח מילה טובה/Sending a Good Word

Dear Parents,

This year we added an exciting positive social aspect to our class mishloach manot. In addition to some yummy treats in their bags, every child will receive a list of nice things that their classmates wrote about them!

First, the children cut and glued shapes from construction paper in order to decorate bags to look like adorable animals. Later, in the classroom, the children were challenged to brainstorm different ways to say nice things about their friends in Hebrew, and Morah Michal wrote the ideas on the board/ Some suggestions included:

חברה טובה: She is a good friend
הוא מאוד מצחיק: He is really funny

After we brainstormed, slips of paper with our classmates' names written on them were passed around the room.Everyone took turns writing nice phrases on them.

The purpose of this exercise was to remind us that while it is nice to give food to our friends on Purim, it is most important to give kindness using good words every day.

They will receive it on Friday.

Chag Purim Sameach!
Morah Michal & Morah Adiya
