Today we worked at three stations to practice some editing strategies that we can use in our opinion writing. At one station, we practiced matching synonyms. Did you know that Second Graders are amazing, fantastic, and wonderful? At the punctuation station, we used pasta to fill in missing commas, periods, exclamation marks, and question marks in some silly sentences. Finally, we became surgeons at the contraction table as we used scissors and band aids to combine two words into one contraction.
