2A Uses Their Acting Skills in Math

Today, the students in 2A put their acting skills to work as we learned how to regroup across zeros. Students took turns being part of a subtraction problem and acted out the ones going to their neighbor, the tens and asking to borrow a ten, but if there are no tens, the tens need to go ask their neighbor, the hundreds to borrow a hundred. Then, the tens can give the ones what they need and we can begin to subtract. We had a great time knocking on our neighbors' doors and using the base ten blocks to understand this concept. What a fun way to solve 700-452!
